Frequently Asked Questions
We want you to be happy with your purchase. We offer returns on unused items within 14 days of purchase, and defective items will be replaced at no charge. To start a return, visit our Contact page or email us at info@spaethwoodcraft.com with your order number, zip code, and reason for return. Follow these steps for a successful return: 1. Print the return label. 2. Package the items securely. 3. Attach the return label to the package. 4. Drop it off at the nearest carrier location. Once we receive the return, we'll process your refund. A 15% restocking fee applies to unused items. Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility. Refundable Products: New products in original packaging. Replaceable Products: Defective products, damaged during shipping, or incorrectly shipped items. Non-Returnable/Non-Refundable Products: Used products, custom orders, international orders, engraved products, products without proof of purchase, and boards that have been through the dishwasher. Custom orders lost or damaged in transit will be replaced but are non-refundable. Return & Replacement Procedures: Damaged or Incorrect Orders: Notify us within 7 days of receiving the item(s) to request a replacement. Email us at info@spaethwoodcraft.com with your order number and a description of the problem. Include photos if possible. We'll issue an RMA number and a return shipping label. Upon receiving the return, we'll send a replacement. We cannot process replacements without an RMA. Notify us as soon as possible, as our window for filing an insurance claim is limited to 10 days. If notified after 7 days, we cannot refund or replace items. Note: Defective or damaged items are not returnable for a refund and will only be replaced. All Other Returns: 1. Review our return policy checklist to ensure your order qualifies. 2. Email us at info@spaethwoodcraft.com to request an RMA. 3. Package the order in its original packaging and include a copy of your receipt and RMA number. 4. Ship the package to the address provided by our support staff. Spaeth Woodcraft is not responsible for return shipping costs or lost shipments. Use a carrier with tracking and/or delivery insurance, especially for high-value items. 5. Once we receive the return, we'll notify you by email and process the return within 3 to 5 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. A 15% restocking fee applies. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Refunds should appear on your billing statement within 1 to 2 cycles. Returns without prior RMA approval and not in unused condition will not be refunded. Yes, we offer customization for most of our woodcraft products. You can add engravings or request specific dimensions. Contact us with your customization requests, and we'll do our best to accommodate them.
To maintain your wooden cutting board, hand wash it with warm soapy water and dry it immediately. Avoid soaking it or using the dishwasher. Periodically, apply a food-safe mineral oil to keep the wood hydrated and prevent cracking.
